Get ready to step back in time in our gorgeous 1940s home. We've retained the original doors, kept the charm of the original hard woods, and stayed true to the home's relaxed, classic vibe.
When you enter our home, you are immediately taken in by the 11-foot ceilings, which continue throughout. The entry way serves as a main hallway, with each bedroom being accessed from it.
All of our bedrooms as well as the Master Suite living area and main living room feature their own flat screen Smart TV. Guests will need to sign in to their own streaming accounts in order to access anything other than the free apps.
The two front bedrooms on each side of the house feature Queen beds. The bedroom on the left is equipped with a handmade Amish mattress. This room also features a desk space for getting work done, a dresser and a TV. The bedroom on the right, features farmhouse chic furniture, a dresser, an armoire for hanging clothes, and its own TV. The Queen bed is a firmer traditional inner spring mattress.
The last door on the left takes you to the Master Suite. The suite features beautiful all-wood furniture, a large TV, and an exquisite Amish-made King sized bed. Off the bedroom is a small living space, featuring an additional TV, small refrigerator, and a futon. This is a great place to escape the kids for some much-needed time together! The living area leads to your master bath, which is equipped with a standard tub/shower combo.
The last door on the right of the entry hall takes you into the living areas. We have a cozy living room, featuring a large flat screen Smart TV and a great collection of games. The main bathroom is located right off the living room, and features a traditional tub/shower.
The family room opens into a galley style eat-in kitchen. Our table seats 6, and should be comfortable for all of your guests. We have a Keurig, as well as some coffee pods, cream, and sugar to get you started. The kitchen is well stocked with basic cooking utensils, dishes, pots, and pans. The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen next to the fridge and may be used within reason. Laundry soap is provided.
The kitchen opens to the back deck and our beautiful, fully fenced in yard, perfect for pets. We are pet friendly, but do require a $30 pet fee upon booking. This is a one time fee, good for up to 2 pets. Any pets over 2 could be charged an additional fee, per our discretion. Feel free to inquire for more details.
In addition to being perfect for pets, our backyard is great for a family cookout, featuring a grill and a picnic table for you to enjoy.
We can't wait to share our home with you. Book now to lock in your dates-- they go quickly! Not quite ready to pull the trigger? Click the "heart" icon to save for later. We hope to see you soon!
I make a point to always be available to my guests, and am just a message away; however, I allow my guests their own space unless I am needed.Neighborhood overview
We are located in a historic, albeit still transitioning neighborhood. Our street is very quiet and safe, though there may occasionally be some foot traffic.Getting around
While we are only a mile from downtown, there isn't a super direct walking route (eg sidewalks and such). I recommend that guests drive or take a quick Uber to get downtown.
