This Saturday, explore the imaginative world of the “Very Hungry Caterpillar” at Greenville’s Upcountry History Museum. Additional photography exhibits include “Frontiers: Past and Future” and “Face the Inferno.” Enjoy games, craft stations, a scavenger hunt, and story time with the Caterpillar himself! This event runs from 10am-noon on September 2nd. Inspiration is right around the corner.
“Take me out to the ballgame! Take me out to the show!” If you are searching for an evening filled with friendly competition and smoky hotdogs, the Greenville Drive is the perfect spot for you. Ball games run daily from August 29th-September 3rd. Tuesday-Saturday games begin at 7:05; Sunday games begin at 6:05. Note, there is a clear bag policy at the Greenville Drive, with the exception of medical bags, diaper bags, and small clutches. Come ready to cheer, “Cause it’s 1, 2, 3 strikes you’re out at the old ball game!”
Nothing is better than biting into a crispy, buttered slice of fresh bread. Now, with the help of Pastry Chef Leslie, anyone can become an expert at baking artisan breads. Sunday’s class will be an intimate gathering of 10 people in the Gallery (4th floor) of M. Judson’s bookstore. Tickets start at $75, with an option to add The Bread Bible for 35$. This volume includes 150 foolproof recipes by Chef Leslie, including techniques and ingredient tables, that makes baking from home a snap. This class begins at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 3rd.
While most Greenville visitors are familiar with Falls Park, arguably one of the most famous parks in the nation, many have not heard of its little brother: Cancer Survivors Park. Central to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, CSP connects Falls Park to Cleveland Park, making it an ideal place to park and begin hiking in either direction. This park includes numerous trails, sculptures, and pavilions, making it a perfect place to find peace in the midst of a busy city. This park includes daily community programs, especially for those learning to live through life change and loss. The following are events that are occurring this September: Virtual Therapeutic Yoga (Mondays, 3-4pm), Virtual Strength Training (Tuesday, 9:30-10am), Virtual Guided Meditation (Wednesdays, 9-9:45am), and Melanoma Support Group (Thursday, 6-7).
Bons Secours Wellness Arena welcomes Old Dominion on September 6th for their No Bad Vibes Tour. The “One Man Band” artists will be accompanied by special guests Tyler Hubbard and Kylie Morgan. Tickets start at 43$, depending on seat location. Be sure to buy your ticket(s) quickly as they are going fast! The show starts at 7:30 pm.
