The Bridgeway Farmer’s Market is proud to announce its first annual Peach Jam and Cobbler Showdown! Join this Thursday for an intense baking competition in which renowned chefs will compete for the title of “Greenville’s Biggest Peach.” Participants will sample the chef’s cobblers and vote for their favorite! But that’s not all. The Peach Jam will also include live music, a live painting by Alexa Ternes, and face painting/games for children. Come for the cobbler, stay for the delectable produce options at the farmer’s market.
Lights, camera, action! If looking for free and fun entertainment in downtown Greenville this weekend, check out the SC New Play Festival. On August 10th-11th, Falls Park will host a series of street performances and skits, featuring NYC YoYo Show, Real McCoy, and Street Circus. No sign ups are required; simply show up and enjoy the show!
The “Upstate’s Finest and Most Advanced Children’s Consignment Sale” is back this weekend in Greenville, SC. Shop from gently used children’s items: clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, and much, much more. Entry is free, but be advised that parking at the Greenville Convention Center is $5. This Saturday, escape to a serene vineyard in little Greenville, SC. You’re invited to walk the grounds and receive a behind the scenes tour of City Scape Winery. Owner Josh Jones will lead travelers throughout the tasting room and its 6,400 sq foot facility as he describes the process and history of winemaking. For only $25, individuals will receive “the tour, a glass of wine, and a souvenir wine glass.” After the tour, you’re invited to participate in a wine tasting or sample from one of their many charcuterie boards.
