When Greenville’s Symphony Orchestra performs, it holds the hearts of its audience members in a rapturous awe. Led by Maestro Tchivzhel, the strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments play as one, leaving the audience spellbound. This year’s performance promises to be “bigger and better” than ever with the addition of guest stars Ashly Burns and Shayna Steele. These rising stars will be performing ballads and covers such as, “Mary, Do You Know?” “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” Greenville Youth Chorale will also be bringing classics such as “Winter Wonderland” to life. Don’t miss this favorite Greenville holiday tradition at the Peace Center this weekend.
It’s time to dig through your closet and find your ugliest Christmas sweater. Fireforge’s Crafted Beer and Restaurant is hosting an Ugly Sweater Party this Friday, and a free concert from the Abbey Elmore Band. Come rock out to their unique blend of Indie Pop and Soulful Rock, singing a mix of original songs and covers. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations for Safe Harbor, such as new socks, sweaters, jackets, and other warm clothing items. The show starts at 7pm!
There’s no need to be “home alone” this weekend; head out to Six & Twenty Distillery for a free movie night! Snuggle in with a cocktail or boozy hot chocolate and enjoy this Christmas classic in style. Pajamas and festive attire is encouraged.
Greenville’s Gingerbread Exhibit has the power to make one wish that they could live in the extravagantly built gingerbread homes. Designed by businesses, professionals, and amateurs, this year’s exhibit has even more categories and gingerbread than last year. Visitors can vote for their favorite exhibit to win "People's Choice Award." Held in the Residence Inn and Suites, this event is in the perfect location for a winter stroll through downtown Greenville.
