The Tony Award winning musical, Girl from the North Country, has been recognized as a “Broadway Revolution!” (Chicago Tribune). It centers on a band of travelers in 1934, in Duluth, Minnesota, and their journeys of self exploration. Watch Connor Mcpherson’s script come to life, and Simon Hale’s orchestra reimagine more than 20 of Bob Marley’s classic songs. “Forever Young,” “All Along The Watchtower,” “Hurricane,” “Slow Train Coming,” and “Like A Rolling Stone” have never been heard like this!
The fair is back in town… the book fair, that is. Fireforge Crafted Beer and restaurant is bringing the books to you at its Fiction Addiction Boozy Book Fair this Sunday. Search from categories like “Romantic Reads,” “Geeks and Gamers,” “Gothic and Ghastly,” “Read the Rainbow,” "Criminally Good Reads,” and more! Check out Fireforge’s culinary options and beverages, including beer, mead, and wine. Book fairs shouldn’t just be for kids; all are welcome.
Art Blakely once said, “Jazz washes away the dust of everyday life.” Escape the humdrum of the work week and enjoy a free, celebratory jazz night out with friends. Every Thursday, Topsoil Restaurant hosts the Greenville Jazz Collective at 6pm in their main dining hall. Entres and half off bottles of wine will be available for purchase. Feel free to bring your dancing shoes, and cut loose.
Want to look fabulous and help others at the same time? The Red Cross’s 32nd Annual Gala is this Saturday at the Hyatt Regency. Experience a lively evening of wine tasting, silent auction, live auction, and a seated dinner. Additionally, hear life changing stories from individuals whose lives have been impacted by the Red Cross. Tickets start at $275, and attendees can register online.
Calling all gun and knife enthusiasts! The Greenville Convention Center is welcoming back the S & D Gun and Knife Show 2024 this weekend. Its exhibits will feature, “new & used guns, custom & factory knives, military & war relics, home defense items, home security, gun, knife and military books, knife sharpening, hunting and military clothing and gun parts & accessories.” Compare goods and prices to find the best deals, and seek out knowledgeable experts for all of your equipment questions. Tickets are $8, and parking is $5.
