For more than 45 years, the Star Wars franchise has enthralled its fans, describing the intricacies of a “galaxy far, far away.” Experience Star Wars: A New Hope like never before with a live accompaniment from the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. John William’s score won an Academy Award for Best Score in 1977, and Thiago Tiberio is taking on the challenge of conducting this masterpiece for a modern audience. Tickets are $29.50 and can be purchased online through the Bons Secours Wellness Arena. This fourth, may the force be with you!

No one throws a party like Fireforge. Join this weekend for their 2nd annual Polish Fest, a polka and pierogi palooza. Polish delicacies like pork kielbasa, mizeria, and salatka jarzynowa will be available for purchase alongside their typical menu. Jam out to live performances from Wasted Wine, Foothills Oompah Band, Mazury Folk Dance Ensemble, and even Tekla Klebetnica, who is traveling all the way from Poland. Ages 13 & up are $5, but individuals under 12 are free. Check out the link below for more information regarding when each band is playing. Suit up for a night of culture and cuisine that you don’t want to miss.

Turn up the radio on any country station, and the chances are high that you will hear Billy Currington’s soulful timbre ring out at some point in the day. This country music icon is visiting Simpsonville on tour this Saturday! His top hits include “People are Crazy,” “Good Directions,” and “Must Be Doing Something Right,” which are classic country anthems. This Georgia native is known for his soulful blend of traditional and contemporary music, as well as his humorous lyrics. This year, Currington is touring with Kip Moore and special guest, Larry Fleet. Tickets start at $20 at the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. This is an outside arena, so plan accordingly. Settle in for a night of classic country hits, and to hear how, “God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.”

Get ready to say: “I’m ready! I’m ready!” for the SC Children's Theater's rendition of Spongebob the Musical. Based on the hit series by Stephen Hillenburg and the book by Kyle Jarrow, this production of Spongbob sets itself apart by including hit songs by Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, and more! Join the world’s most beloved underwater sponge and starfish on their Bikini Bottom adventures. This 2 hour show is recommended for ages 7 and up. Are you ready for it? “Aye-aye, captain!”

There’s a reason that the Kentucky Derby is “the greatest two minutes in sports.” Race horses are instruments of precision and speed, a wonder to behold. This year, cheer for your team amongst friends at Group Therapy’s Kentucky Derby Party from 4-8pm. Derby themed food and drinks will be served, and participants are encouraged to dress up in their best Kentucky Derby attire. Enjoy live music from the Jamie Wright Band, and explore Group Therapy’s wide range of games, such as bowling, mini golf, and ax throwing. This is a free community event, and 10% of the proceeds will benefit Mill Village Ministries. It’s off to the races this Saturday!
