One

For more than 75 years, the Poinsettia Christmas Parade has been the highlight of Greenville’s holiday events. Families look forward to gathering along Main Street for a spectacular show of floats, dancers, marching bands, and more. It kicks off the holiday season in style. Be sure to arrive at least an hour early in order to reserve your spot for the free 6 o’clock parade. Visitors with children are encouraged to bring a bag to collect candy, and be sure to bring a warm coat to this unforgettable Christmas event in the heart of downtown Greenville!

Two

Experience The Nutcracker this holiday season, a Christmas classic that is as delicate and moving as the first snow of winter. Tchaikovsky’s inspirational score, performed by the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, tells the story of Clara and her life-sized nutcracker, as they face obstacles like the Mouse King and uncertain dreams. Tickets start at $25, and visitors can save 15% when tickets are bundled with the Swan Lake ballet. This is a performance that you do not want to miss!

Three

It’s a Merry Mauldin Christmas! Kick off the holiday season with a celebratory tree lighting ceremony at Mauldin’s Cultural Center. Additionally, enjoy live music, a Christmas Market, a Santa Claus visit, and even a ride on the Polar Express train. Food trucks, such as Food Daddy, Mac Attack, Vampire Penguin, and Growler Haus, will be in attendance. Parking and attendance is free to the public, so come on out to shop local and enjoy the music.

Four

On the Western Front in 1914, shots rang out between the exhausted British and German forces. Then on Christmas day, a miracle happened. A single voice singing “Stille Nacht” stilled the night and commenced a day of singing and feasting from both sides of the war. All is Calm brings this true story to life in an unforgettable theatrical performance.

FIve

“A battle for your soul is being waged from an office in hell!” The long awaited theatrical production The Screwtape Letters is coming to Greenville’s Peace Center this weekend. Adapted from C.S. Lewis’s classic novel, The Screwtape Letters details a demon’s attempts to persuade a mortal to join the ranks of Satan. The New York Times is calling it “clever and satirical,” while Christianity Today is pegging it as a “profound experience.” Come see the show that has attracted over 500,000 people and sold out in many major cities across the U.S. Tickets are on sale now!
