Experience Main Street in a whole new way this weekend during the “largest food and music festival in the Upstate.” Explore menu options from over 60 restaurants and 50 beer taps in a casual setting. Taste Tickets can be purchased at stations throughout the festival for 5$ per sheet. Rock out to 80+ bands stationed at 6 different stages. Thursday’s Kick-Off Concert features The Abbey Elmore Band, David Ramirez, and Madeline Edwards. Kids’ entertainment includes carnival style rides, such as a Fun Slide, Wacky Slide, Toddler Town, and swings. Don’t be surprised if you Fall for Greenville this weekend.
Millions of people participate in cycling every day, exploring with adventure and simplicity. This Saturday, individuals have the opportunity to celebrate cycling through the 23rd Annual Bicycle Film Festival at the Peace Center. Through two featured films, Children’s Shorts and Select Shorts, explore the world of cycling through art, film, and music. The 3pm matinee is $15, while the 5:30 pm evening show is $25. Free valet bicycle parking will be offered under the bridge on the downtown Swamp Rabbit Trail.
The Swamp Rabbit season begins October 21st, but there is a special discounted pre-game on October 15th. Our local Swamp Rabbit hockey team will be facing off against the Atlanta Gladiators in a battle for the history books. Enjoy sign making, interactive games, and music, perfect for the whole family. Tickets start at $10. Bonds Secours has a clear bag policy, and be sure to bring a coat. See you there!
Asbury Hills Retreat Center is the picture of a South Carolina Fall, with its red, yellow, and brown trees blowing in the wind. This Saturday, Asbury is hosting its annual Fall Festival with free activities for the whole family. Activities include archery, hayrides, rock climbing, face painting, and more. Take a break from the hassles of everyday life; breathe in the simplicity of a lake view and nature walk. Food and souvenirs will be available for purchase. It is about an hour drive from downtown Greenville, but well worth the drive.
The Grammy nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE is returning to their home state this weekend for their CAVES World Tour. Known for its “southern groove,” it promises to be a “high energy” and “infectious” show. (New York Times, Music Row). Rock out with special guests Judah and the Lion in the spacious Bond Secours Arena. Tickets start at $27, a steal for such a once in a lifetime experience.
